A trip to remember @ SummerSet part 1

Hi there,

How's everyone's Christmas/Awal Muharram break? Did you guys have fun? Well, I sure did and here, I will share all about it..
(Warning: it's a long post!)

I just got back from a Family Trip with Mommy, Dadda and Dadda's family (otherwise known as the PJ or Kg Tunku Family).

I'm all excited to go for our family trip!

On Christmas Day, we drove to Rompin, Pahang, to a resort hotel called Summerset. It was a nice and cosy, colonial-looking hotel by the beach. It took us about 4 to 5 hours to reach there by car. We started at around 11-ish in the morning and arrived in Rompin at around 4pm (plus a few stops at the Rest & Relax).

There were 5 cars travelling together; our car which consisted of Myself, Mommy and Dadda, Papa and Mama's with Bibik Tatik and Kak Minah, Ayah Ngah's with Cu Na and Che Ah, Uncle Farlie's with Aunty Alma and Abg Aimar and last but not least, Ayahde's with Che' De and Kak Nadhrah. Tia, Uncle Mohsin, Abg Ikie, Kak Miza, Abg Faiez, Kak Sara and their Bibik joined us there.

Sooo cosy that I slept all through the journey!

Are we there yet Mommy?!

Upon reaching, we had to straight away get ready for a photo shoot session, courtesy of Aunty Alma. Everybody had to wear white so I changed into a white cotton dress which Mommy bought specially. When we were ready we hurried off to Mama's and Papa's room which was on the same floor but further to the front. We took quite a number of photos in the room and after that we went straight to the beach and continued taking photos.

Look at me all dressed up in white? Cute or what!!?

You see, although I didn't drive and slept almost all the way there (I had started using the car seat Uncle Nuar bought a couple of months ago and it was SO comfy!) I still felt a bit tired after taking photos in the room. I also began to feel sleepy again. So, I had put up a bit of a tantrum after the beach photo-taking session. Needless to say, photos of me are mostly, unfortunately with my grumpy face on!

The many expressions of us as a family.. The middle one is my favourite! :)

Some beach photos of us! Higher Dadda, Higher!!

After hours of photo shootings, we finally went out for dinner (I was already asleep by then) at a nearby stall.

All those photo takings took its toll on me!

That night the adults did solat jemaah and recited the Yassin in Papa and Mama's room. After that, we discussed about the games that were to be held the next day, after breakfast. We just talked and didn't really have any activities for we were all still tired from the journey.

Next up : Games! Games! Games!

Stay tuned..

my newbie blogging headaches

Hi again,

I'm just a baby blogger, so when something happens like, if the writings are haywired or the template is not properly showing as it should be, I get headaches and will transfer that headache to my Dadda to figure it out. So, my poor Dadda will spend his free time trying to help me get this blog up and running again..

figuring out this blogging stuff over a bottle of milk @ coffebean..

That's the disadvantages of technology.. Sometimes, it helps you, sometimes it will let you down.

Dadda!!! HELP ME! I'm tired... The screen's gone blank!

Well, I'm still learning and I'm only just 8 months 'young', so there's still a long way to go for me to challenge the likes of my cousin, kak nadhrah who so far has won numerous prizes just by blogging...

I'm hoping to learn some tricks or two from her during our family trip to SummerSet next week. Can't wait! Wooohoooo!!

A weekend filled with activities!

Hi everybody!

I don't really have much to say today, actually. Just thought I'd share a few photos and just update you on what I've been doing for these past few days...

Well, on Friday night I went to a wedding with Mommy and Dadda. They know both the bride and groom. It wasn't my first wedding so it's really nothing new to me. As usual, we sat and ate, Mommy brought along my porridge so I didn't have to just sit and look at the adults eat and drool..

Anyway, the usual happenings of a wedding went on as expected and after Mommy and Dadda finished off their meal we took some photos with the bride and groom and some other friends of theirs. We had to go off earlier than the rest of the guests, though because I, ehem... ehem... did a 'big business' while Mommy and Dadda were eating.

So, to avoid further injuries on other guests' noses, Mommy and Dadda decided to take off early.
I'm really, really sorry but I just couldn't hold it any longer... I didn't put on my apologetic look though, because I knew Mommy and Dadda would understand.

On Saturday, Mommy, Dadda and I went for lights and ceiling fans shopping for our new apartment. While they were busy choosing all the things needed, I had a quick nap in my buggy. We then headed straight to our apartment to drop off the things we bought and while doing that, dropped by at Aunty Alma and Uncle Farlie's apartment 2 blocks away from ours. They were there cleaning up their apartment. After a couple of hours there, we headed straight to Teapot Cafe in SS2 for a late lunch.

You see, Dadda has been craving for its cheese cake for days!
I had potato salad and Mommy had a couple of scones. (she had to help finish off my potaoes, hehe...) That night, as usual, we had 'tadabur' and right after, gathered together for a meeting about our holiday trip to Sommerset, Endau-Rompin (which I'm REALLY looking forward to!) on Christmas Day. Mama said each family has to come up with a game for us to play there and Mommy came up with a few interesting games that will be discussed and decided together with Dadda.

On Sunday, we woke up early because we had a breakfast date with Dadda's college mates from Warwick at Mcdonald's near Ikano Power Centre. Mommy and Dadda had Big Breakfast each while I had some hotcakes. Later that afternoon I came back with Mommy and joined Mak Lel and Aunty Huda at Ikea.

At around 8.30 that night, we went to the airport with Tok Abah and Pak Su Ami to send off Tok Mama. Tok Mama went to Japan for a research trip. (how nice!) She'll be back on Saturday, 20th.
Oh yes, at the airport we took some photos too...

So, today's Monday and usually Monday is swimming day but unfortunately it's the rainy season now so I'm crossing my fingers hoping that it's not going to rain tonight! I'll update you on my activities again, once I have something interesting to tell. Until then, take care everyone and have fun no matter what you do or where you are!

my first eid experience

Welcome everybody!!

I just turned 8 months yesterday. So far, I'm already able to pull myself up to stand. I've yet to stand on my own without holding onto something but I'm sure I'll be able to do that soon..!

Anyway, I'd like to share with you my first Eid experience. My first Aidilftri started as early as 8am at Tok Abah's in Subang Jaya. Mommy woke me up and gave me my first Aidilftri shower while the rest of the household (Dadda, Tok Abah, Tok Mama and Pak Su Ami) went for the Aidilfitri prayers at the mosque.

I wore my first 'baju kurung' on that day. Mommy searched hi and lo for it and finally found one that fitted me perfectly. After everyone came back from the prayers, we had breakfast together.

The night before, we went back to Tok Mama's hometown in Rembau and took some 'lemangs' home. We had those and some cookies for breakfast that morning. Of course I didn't get to eat all that as I was only 6 months' old. After breakfast we did our 'bersalam and bermaafan' after which we gathered to take our first family Aidilfitri photos. Then, all of us headed for Papa and Mama's house in Kampung Tunku, Petaling Jaya.

When we arrived in Kg Tunku, everybody was already waiting. Papa, Mama, Ayah Ngah Acat, Aunty Alma, Cu Na, Che'ah and Abg Aimar looked really good in their 'baju raya'. There, everybody had Nasi Dagang. Later that evening, I went back to Tok Mama's hometown in Rembau with Dadda, Mommy, Tok Abah, Tok Mama and Pak Su Ami.

In Rembau, there were MORE relatives waiting! Atuk, Mak Wan and the rest of the whole big family of Tok Mama were there! The next day, I travelled to Muar, to Aunty Huda's house together with Tok Uda and his family. There, they had Nasi Briyani, as usual.
We finally came back to KL on the 3rd day of Eid. However, Mommy was on leave until the week after so I got to spend more time with her at home, although we attended LOTS of open-houses every single weekend for the whole month of Syawal! Phew!

All in all, my 1st Eid experience was a blast! I got to wear a new dress for each open house we went to, haha! Oh yes, I had more new clothes than anyone in my family.

Tok Abah and Tok Mama bought a few and Mommy and Dadda also bought a few. Not to forget, Aunty Min also bought me a new pair of shoes from London. Thank you Aunty Min!
So, now I've shared my 1st Eid experience with all of you.

I'll be back soon for more news and updates. Do visit every once in a while, eh?
