3 Parties and a Holiday

There were so many things happened in the month of October that kept me well occupied but then you must have already known by now that I lead a very busy life, haven't you?

On the 5th of October I attended two parties. First was cousin Aimar's birthday party at the McDonald's near Kidzania. We played at the play area, had our own McDonald's Happy Meal with our own crowns and played games. I hung out with Nadhrah most of the time while Aimar had some of his friends over for the party too. Idzhar just enjoyed running around everyone since he didn't really understand how to play the games.

From Aimar's party we rushed over to Subang Jaya for Natasha's birthday party. Natasha is mommy's friend, Aunty Shaly's daughter. They live in the UK and are now back here for a few months because Aunty Shaly's pregnant and wanted to give birth here (she'd already gave birth to a cute little boy when I finally sat down and wrote this). Plus, her husband, Uncle Jaimie is away working in another country. So, Natasha got to celebrate her birthday here and we got to celebrate it with her.

Natasha's party was a happening one too. It had a bouncy castle for us to jump in and a room where we could play with Play-Dohs while watching our favourite cartoons. Outside, there was a candy table where we could have all the candies we wanted (well, not all since mommy was there to monitor).

That was a long, tiring but fun-filled day for both Idzhar and I.

On the 19th of October however, two Saturdays after that, we had our own party in Subang Permai to celebrate Idzhar's 2nd birthday. Since Idzhar didn't get to have his own party last year for his 1st birthday as Tok Abah and Tok Mama were away for hajj, mommy and dadda decided to throw a real one this time.

Mommy rented a bouncy castle from Aunty Shaly's contact for the party too but we chose a different and slightly bigger one since we had a little bit more space.

Idzhar's party theme was Spiderman so he had a Spiderman cake and party packs with lots of goodies inside. It rained for a bit in the afternoon but stopped just in time as the party was about to start. It was obvious that Idzhar was really happy with his party since he couldn't stop grinning even late at night after everyone had left and was still smiling the next day. He refused to sleep at his usual bedtime that night although he didn't sleep at all during the day.

So, after we got all the birthday parties out of the way, we finally went for a short getaway with Adida and Mak Lel to Desaru, Johor (south part of Malaysia).

That was another fun-filled holiday!

We stayed at a hotel named Lotus in Desaru which Adida had booked a few months ago. We had a 3-bedroom apartment all to ourselves. The hotel was a very exciting one. It had its own water park, clubhouse, garden, arcade, swimming pools, spa and beach. They also have interesting activities like tele-matches, water sports, line dancing, fireworks displays, karaoke and others.

We arrived late the first day so we just rested after the long drive. The next day, while Dadda decided to explore some golf venues around Johor, the rest of us started our day with the beach. The hotel was huge so they had buggies transporting us wherever we go. As usual, Idzhar and I were always well prepared and equipped with our sandcastle-making-sand-playing accessories. Mommy and Adida decided to dive right into the sea while Mak Lel played with us.

After it got too hot, we decided to move to the water park. We took the buggy to get to the water park. I gotta tell you that we loved the buggy rides!

Around noon we went back to the room to shower and rest a little. While waiting for Dadda to come back and have lunch with us we took the buggy again to the park. We just sat on the grass facing the beach and ate ice cream. Mommy bought bubbles for us to play with too.

We went back to the beach and pool that late afternoon, this time with Dadda too. That night, we went out to have dinner at a restaurant called Marybrown. When we went back to the hotel, we went straight to the park to join the activities there. Mommy, Adida and Mak Lel went for the line dancing so I tagged along too. It was quite the exercise I must say. We then hung around a little and then went back to the room to retire.

The next day, mommy woke us up quite early. We got ready and dadda drove all of us straight to the train station in Johor Bahru. There we took a train to Singapore. Idzhar and I were so excited to be going on our first train ride. Although it was a really short ride, we had real fun.

In Singapore, we took the bus and the MRT to numerous places. The first thing we did when we arrived was to look for a place to eat. After that, we took the MRT to Orchard road to meet up with Uncle Nuar. He was already there the day before for a show. We walked along Orchard road going in and out of malls and when we finally got tired, we stopped for a drink.

At the end of the day we took the train back to JB and after dinner with some of Dadda's friends in JB, we drove back to Desaru. The next day, we drove back to KL.

So, that was my month of October. Hope you all had a wonderful October too. Will keep you updated with more activities soon.

Anniversary Holiday

"A wedding anniversary is a celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year" ~ Paul Sweeney

More than a week ago, on the 7th of July, Mommy and Dadda celebrated their 2nd anniversary. It was on a Tuesday so they didn't have any special celebrations, plus, Nek Tok, who is Tok Momma's father was in the hospital. But that weekend, on the 11th, we went out of town to the beach. Yes, I said WE. This time I got to go along on a holiday at the beach.

We arrived at a hotel called Avillion in Port Dickson on Saturday afternoon. We had a water-chalet type of room which was on stilts and we had the sea below us. When I sleep, I could hear the sound of waves underneath. The hotel had lots of interesting things for us to do. They have a room filled with activities for children and besides playing at the playground, we swam at the pool. There were 3 pools; one of the pools had a slide which I enjoyed very much!

Look at me solo-sliding! Wooohoooo!

I was too small to go for the water sports activities at the beach so we spent most of our time at the pool.
We also had a chance to feed animals like rabbits, peacocks and hamsters at the pet farm.

There were a lot of other stuff that we didn't get to do because we had so little time. Maybe next time we can go for the nature walk, karaoke and the water sports activities such as jet ski, banana boat and others (maybe when I'm older). I can't wait for our next holiday trip!

And with that, I leave you with photos from our vacation.

My Kelate Trip - part 2

The next morning everyone woke up early to have breakfast together with Tok Abah before he went off to work at 8.30am. After breakfast, Mommy, Tok Mama and I went back to the room and I fell back to sleep soon after. Our original plan was to go for a swim at the pool but it was raining so we had to cancel our plan.

At Wan Ani's house upon arrival. I can't sit still as usual!

Mommy, can we go out now??

Yeaaayy! I'm ready to leave my hotel room & explore Kota Bharu!
At around 2pm, the three of us decided to browse through the shopping mall next door which was connected to the hotel. We bought some snacks and headed back to the room. Tok Abah came back at around 4pm. At 6pm, Tok Mama's friend from school, fetched us from the hotel and took us to her house for dinner. We had typical Kelantan food called Laksam and Laksa Kelantan. I had some of Mommy's, some of Tok Mama's and some of Tok Abah's. After dinner she sent us back to the hotel. We then drove to another shopping mall called KB Mall about 5 minutes' drive from the hotel and Tok Mama looked for some scarves for souvenirs. On the way back to the hotel, we had supper at a restaurant named Tarbush which serves Arab food.

I love looking at myself through the mirror!

Off to dinner! The red dress makes it hard for me to walk..

The next day, we didn't have breakfast with Tok Abah. After he left for work, we went down for breakfast at around 10am. Again, we wanted to swim but I started yawning right after breakfast so we didn't go and I went back to sleep. Tok Abah came back at 11am and they started packing. We were supposed to check out of the hotel at 12 noon but Tok Mama asked for a late check out. We eventually checked out at 2pm. We then headed straight to a place which sells Batik materials. We spent more than an hour there and finally drove to KB Mall right after for a drink because the weather was so hot, we wanted to look for air conditioned place. We were supposed to meet Wan Ani, Tok Amin who had just arrived that very morning and their kids at the restaurant, Tarbush for dinner.

Look at all the colourful BATIKs.. Amazing!

At the Pasar Siti Khadijah Clock Tower with Tok Abah

They arrived at around 7pm, we had dinner there and then headed straight to the airport with them. Our flight back was scheduled at 10pm so we had plenty of time. After saying our farewells, we went to the waiting area and Mommy gave me a quick shower and changed my clothes into fresh ones. Mommy, Tok Mama and Tok Abah freshened up too. Soon after, there was the announcement of passengers with babies to board the plane first.

At the KB airport. I'm still munching...

This time I was wide awake. Finally I experienced my first take off and enjoyed looking at the view very much. I was fascinated by the tiny lights below us.
A short while after taking off the flight crews gave us cupcakes and juice which I shared with Mommy. The flight took us slightly less than an hour.
I read some books Mommy brought along for the trip and when we finally landed we took turns getting off the plane and took some photos outside.
We waited a while for our luggage and went out to wait for Dadda.

This time, I will not miss the take-off!

Reading the in-flight instructions!

I'm soo excited, I can't sit still!

We've landed back home! That was a FUN journey, wasn't it Mommy? :)

When Dadda arrived he was happy to see me and asked how our trip was like. At home we showed him photos that we took during our trip while Tok Abah, Tok Mama and Mommy told him about the trip. Mommy was especially happy with the flight because apparently, when she traveled with Dadda on a different flight (different company), the crews were very rude to her. Where as in this flight, the flight crews were very polite and were always smiling.

Thank you Malaysia Airlines (i.e. FireFlyz) for the good hospitality! I'm sooo happy..!

So, now you know how my first flight went. I'm definitely looking forward to more 'flying' trips!

Here's the photo album for your viewing pleasure..
