3 DAY TRIP TO SEREMBAN FOR MAKSU AUNI'S WEDDING

 Hello everybody.

Since school has finished and we are on a break, my family and I went to Seremban for Maksu Auni's wedding. We were so excited (mostly me to be honest, hehe). So here's how it went.

Before we headed to Seremban, we packed and Mommy ironed our baju kurung and Dadda and Idzhar's baju melayu. The next day, we had lunch at Subang Permai. Tokmama bought some nasi kukus from the mosque. It was so good. Then we began our journey. It took us about 1-2 hours to arrive at the Royal Chulan Hotel, where we stayed for the trip. The place was beautiful. Here are some pictures.

That night, we went for dinner at Wan Jah and Tok Noor's AirBnB. It has been years since the last time we got to meet each other (the Kasram family) and we were excited to meet everyone. Wan Jah ordered some nasi ambeng and it was so, so good!!! Idzhar definitely liked it. There was some homemade roti canai made by Tok Chu too. It was really nice to catch up with everyone after a while. After that, we headed back to our hotel to get some rest for the next day.

On day two, it was the wedding day (i.e. akad nikah/solemnisation ceremony)!

Since we were family of the bride aka Maksu Auni, we went to the venue a little early to set everything up before our guests from the groom's family arrived. The ceremony were kept small with it being attended by family members of the bride and groom only. The dais (or in malay we call it pelamin) was really, really beautiful!! It had flowers and colourful lights. Then, the groom's family members started to arrive along with the bride and groom. Then they started the akad nikah and all those things they do to get married followed by makan time!!! To be honest, I always love wedding dishes. It's really, REALLY delectable I must say, hehe. Anyway, we ate and took family pictures. Not gonna lie, it was a lovely day for the wedding. Here are some pictures from day 2.

Congratulations Maksu Auni and Uncle Ash!

After the wedding, we went back to our hotel to rest. We also went for a quick swim at the swimming pool.

That night, we ate dinner at Wan Jah's AirBnB again. We also helped with the plans and the goodies for the next day, which is the wedding reception. It was a relaxing day after the Nikah ceremony.

On our last day, it was finally the reception day!
Before we got ready for the reception, we went for our last dip in the pool.
We woke up early and went for a swim from 8 till 8:30 o'clock. Then we got ready for the reception.
We had a quick breakfast, packed our luggage to check out, then went down to the lobby.

ready!

Then we headed straight to the venue. The wedding started around 12 o'clock but we arrived a little early to take photos and eat before the guests arrived because some of us had duties for the day. Mommy and Dadda was the MC and I was tasked to hand out door-gifts.
Here are some pictures:

After the wedding, it's finally time to go home.

But before we headed back to Shah Alam, TokMama, Mommy and I helped Wan Jah with all the wedding presents and extra food from the wedding. We also stayed for a while to watch Maksu Auni and Uncle Ash opened their presents. It was a tiring day but also a magnificent experience. It was certainly an occasion to remember!

That's all for now guys. Thank you for reading. Stay tuned for more.

P.S: since it is almost the end of 2021, I will do some recap posts.
Make sure to stay tune for those okay? 😉

Weddings Galore

There were two weddings in my family this year.

In February, Cik Ah got married to Uncle Hafiz and Pak Su married Aunty Kinaz in April. I was one of the flowers girls for both events and had specially made clothes for both events.

Now, I'll be waiting for new cousins! :)

2 Weddings and A Waterfall

One of Dadda's cousins got married to someone from Malacca, the historic state, situated between Negeri Sembilan and Johor recently. It's about 2 hours drive away from KL so we decided to attend the ceremony.

I didn't go to school that Friday, 15th June. Mommy went to work for a while and at around 3pm, after Dadda came back from Friday prayers we headed to Malacca, just the 4 of us - Dadda, Mommy, Idzhar and I.

Papa, Mama and Che Ah were already there so we went straight to the bungalow Papa had rented for the night. After Maghrib prayers, we got ready to go to the bride's house for the Solemnisation ceremony.

The day after was the big celebration day where the actual reception was held at the same place. This time, everybody from the PJ clan was there to celebrate.

After the wedding, we thought of going around the Malacca town for some sightseeing but everyone else was already tired. They then went straight back to KL so Dadda and Mommy decided to drive a little further down to Adida's home in Muar, Johor.

Once we arrived at Adida's, Dadda rested for a wee while and we then drove to the park by the sea where Idzhar and I played for a while at the playground. Adida's cousin, Aunty Ina and her kids joined us too.

Idzhar enjoying himself. He loved the slides.

With Aunty Ina and her family.

Mommy decided to join me on the swings.

And then it was time to leave...

We then called Daddy, Adida's father to join us for dinner, along with Adida's aunt and her kids. We had a popular dish called Asam Pedas. I also loved the fried fish.

The next morning, Mommy woke Idzhar and I up really early. She told us that we were going to go for a picnic. So, I woke up and got ready excitedly. It took us about 45 minutes to reach the place Mommy mentioned. It's called Hutan Lipur Gunung Ledang. We brought along some food with us and found a spot to spread our mat and relax.

After some light snack, into the water we went...

Idzhar enjoying his first dip in the river...

After that, we had Nasi Lemak Adida bought earlier before we headed back to Adida's home and then after packing, drove back to KL - but, of course not without making a pit stop at Nek Wan's house for dinner.

Oh, I almost forgot. Happy Father's Day Dadda, Tok Babah, Papa and Daddy! :)
Since we were away on Father's Day, we had our Father's day dinner with Tok Abah and Tok Mama the day after we came back.

Now on to the 2nd wedding the weekend after. This was a really hectic one.

It was the wedding of Aunty Alia, our next door neighbour in Subang Jaya. Mommy, Pak Su, Aunty Alia, her brother; Uncle Ashraf and sister; Aunty Ayu grew up together.

It started on Thursday night when Mommy and I went for the Bersiram ceremony at their home, next door to Tok Abah's house in Subang Jaya.

The next day, Mommy picked me up early from school to go straight to their solemnisation ceremony at Masjid Darul Ehsan, Subang Jaya; after the Friday prayers.

The day after, Saturday, 23rd June, the reception for the Bride's side of the family was held in Putrajaya. The theme was Siver/Grey, although I turned up in black with silver beadings because I've outgrown my silver Baju Kurung.

And on Sunday, the reception for the Groom's side was held at Dewan Gemilang, Kelana Jaya. This time, the theme for the guests was Gold/Brown while the bride and groom donned a traditional blue outfit.

I'm pretty sure I'll be attending more weddings soon so this doesn't end here. Will keep you updated in my next posts.

In the meantime, I will try and keep my next few posts short and simple, ok? hehe... :)

Make sure you read this too!
