Floating dandelions

Hello everyone~

So sorry for the delay posting. Been a little bit busy with this year since August.

This year, especially the ending had thought me a lot about life lessons. I have to admit, this year was HARD. Despite Covid, school was tough. But, I made it through the year!

In August, I had my first sports day since entering high school and it was SO chaotic. I had the best time of my life. I joined the "perbarisan" for my sports team which is Mars (red). Then, I got chosen to represent my team in 1500m—not gonna lie, it was hard—and I also joined the high jump and disc throwing. And sadly, I didn't win in any of those sports events 😭😭. But it's okay because my team got 2ND PLACE OVERALL !!! We were so happy. It might not be 1st place but we did our best.

Though I had to admit, I was really sad about not winning those sports events. I was sad because I didn't get the extra points for my team. I almost gave up. But, everyone kept reminding me that it was okay and that I can try again next year. And maybe they're right. Maybe I can try again next year, who knows? I've learned that I can't blame myself for this 'cause it's not my fault and I have tried my best but it's just not the time for me to win yet.

In September, I had my mid-term assessment. It was hard, especially in math. Math will always be my weakness in school tests. We only had around an hour or two for the math paper. Out of all the sections in the paper, section C ― the troubleshooting section ― was the hardest section for me. It's where they give you long sentences and you have to solve the questions and it needs to have the "jalan kerja". I left out a lot of section C questions which made my results bad. I cried so badly when I found out. That feeling when you have worked so hard for something and it didn't work out the way you thought it will. Since I need a lot of help in math, Mommy send me to math tuition so that I can learn the tricks and shortcuts. Trust me, it's not easy. But, you just have to try. And I did. Now, I know some shortcuts for the section C questions and I am hoping I can do better for my end-term assessment next year. I guess I learned that I can't give up quickly. I need to try again or search for other ways to keep on moving.

November was THE HARDEST month of this year. Since it was almost the end of the year, we had tons of projects and research that we had to do. We had a science scrapbook project, history and geography case studies, an English presentation and more. It was hectic. For my class, I am the class monitor's assistant and having that title, I always help my classmates with school work. Sometimes I go a bit too far overdo the helping until I forgot to have some time for myself. For example, this year we had to do a case study about transportation problems in our neighbourhood for geography. While doing mine, I helped my friends with their case studies too. But, I kinda helped a little too much until there was one night I sleep only for some hours. I sometimes forgot to drink a lot of water and these days it will be really hot. Then I had minor dizziness and I felt like I had to throw up and I also feel like fainting. I immediately drank a lot of water when I realised. This wasn't the 1st time. It happened a while back during my sports practice. It was the same reaction, the same dizziness, the same feeling.

After that incident, I feel extra tired the weeks after. I had to finish my work extra early because I had to rest a lot and I still had other work that needed to be done. Alhamdulillah, after all the hard work, I got a full 100% for the geography case study. For me, it was worth it because I put in a lot of work and energy. Along the way, a lot of bad things happened. Everything was all over the place. I had no motivation to continue, I had no one to turn to. I felt tired. But I realised, I have to focus on myself first before focusing on others. I realised that to get what I want, I have to stay healthy and have a stable mindset. Working harder may turn out great but I still have to work smart. I learned that I can't put too much pressure on myself, and I can't get negative thoughts and negative words in my head. And that's what I did. I shut out all the negativity around me and focus on myself and stay positive. Other than that, I prayed a lot to Allah to help me and to get my feelings and thoughts out. It turned out great. I turned out stronger.

Now, it's already December and 2023 is coming. Time flies so fast these days. For 2023, I am hoping that it will be better than this year. I'm hoping that I get to be stronger than this year. After everything I went through, I know how to be better. I have to start focusing on myself, I have to not put pressure on myself, take care of myself and just enjoy life and go with the flow. It's time for me to have some time for myself. I may not be okay all the time, but I trust that this is all Allah's plan for me. I need to have patience. I need to always pray to Allah and trust in Allah. He is the best planner. We have around 2 more weeks till 2023 so let's hope and pray that these 2 weeks will be a nice ending for 2022.

Talk to you later ! 💐✨️

A DAY IN LIFE | 17.1.2022

 Hello everyone.

I love reading books and since we came back from Glasgow, I have been wanting to go to Kinokuniya Book Store at KLCC. So, we did!

On the 17th of January, Mommy planned with Adida to go to KLCC. We waited for zohor to pray and then went to Adida's house to pick her up. Then, we went straight to KL. We had lunch at the food court first and it was so good.

After lunch, we went to the bookstore!!! I was so excited. We spent about half an hour there. Mommy, Idzhar and I bought a book each.

rows and rows of books😬

After that, we went for coffee at Dotty's Pastries and Coffee and it was so, so good. We ordered some doughnuts, cakes and drinks.

yummy!

Then, we decided to take a stroll outside. We took pictures in front of the Twin Towers and went to the playground. Unfortunately, it started raining after a while so we had to rush back in. Here are some pictures to wrap up this blog.

That's all for now. Make sure to stay tuned for the next post. Talk to you all later!

FAF FAMILY DAY | #THROWBACK

Hi everyone.

I know I'm not active lately but happy new year!!! I hope everyone had an awesome new year. Anyway, last year on the 19th of December, there was a flood in Malaysia. Coincidentally, that day we were supposed to go on our annual FAF family trip for our family day. So, because of the flood, we decided to do our FAF family day at Mama's house in PJ.

The night before, Idzhar and I slept at Mama's house because our cousins were sleeping there too and Tia was coming back from Kuantan. It's been a while since we got to meet everyone. That night, we had a lot of fun. We played some card and board games, watch movies and talked to each other. It was just like old times. We also got our annual family day T-shirts.

our team colour for the year was pink!

The next day, we woke up early and get ready for the day. We ate breakfast and played our first game while waiting for our parents to arrive for the day. The first game was hosted by Mama herself. The game is, we had to line up and use rubber bands to make other rubber bands fall off a rope that has been tied to a chair. Even though it was just us kids with Tia and Mama, it was so chaotic. Everyone was cheering and laughing.

we get 5 rubber bands each.

Next, when the parents have arrived, we moved on to the second game which was hosted by Dadda and Mommy. For their game, Dadda will hit some shuttlecocks using a badminton racket and the others had to catch it using the shuttlecock tube. Each person had 6 tries. It was windy outside but we managed to play the game. Here's are some pictures of us.

After us kids, the adults played too. It was so funny to watch all the commotion. We laughed so hard and cheered loudly.

For our third game, we played Tia's game which we had to use toilet rolls to knock down plastic water bottles like bowling! It was really fun. The kids go first like always then the adults. We laughed SO HARD when the adults played. HAHAHA. It was really funny. Here are some videos.

After Tia's game, we took a quick break for Zohor prayers and ate lunch. We also took some family pictures.

Then, we moved on to Ayah De's game where the adults had to put a piece of Jacob's Cracker on their forehead and try to make the cracker fall to their mouth without using their hands. We kids, we had to time them and see which team wins. It was so messy and funny too HAHAHA.

a short video of what was going on taken by Aimar.

Then, we played Aunty Alma's game. For this game, each team had 3 team members. We had 1 minute to "dress up" our model using a toilet roll. Each team can only use 3 rolls. Aunty Alma's game was a little challenging since we had to use our creativity but we had fun.

Lastly, we moved on to Ayahngah's game. We all had to create a dance to a song of our choice and it was HILARIOUS. We had so much fun. For this game, we kids had two teams, boys versus girls. Then the adults paired up. Here are some videos to enjoy!😉

we basically got "rickrolled" by them BAHAHAH

💃💃💃

us kids joined in too!

That night after we did our maghrib prayers together, we ate dinner and celebrate Faiez's birthday. Then Ayahngah and Aunty Inn gave us presents for the game like we did every family day before this. We had loads of fun that day.

So that's it for this post. Stay tuned for part 2.

Talk to you all later!😉

3 DAY TRIP TO SEREMBAN FOR MAKSU AUNI'S WEDDING

 Hello everybody.

Since school has finished and we are on a break, my family and I went to Seremban for Maksu Auni's wedding. We were so excited (mostly me to be honest, hehe). So here's how it went.

Before we headed to Seremban, we packed and Mommy ironed our baju kurung and Dadda and Idzhar's baju melayu. The next day, we had lunch at Subang Permai. Tokmama bought some nasi kukus from the mosque. It was so good. Then we began our journey. It took us about 1-2 hours to arrive at the Royal Chulan Hotel, where we stayed for the trip. The place was beautiful. Here are some pictures.

on the way selfie :p

That night, we went for dinner at Wan Jah and Tok Noor's AirBnB. It has been years since the last time we got to meet each other (the Kasram family) and we were excited to meet everyone. Wan Jah ordered some nasi ambeng and it was so, so good!!! Idzhar definitely liked it. There was some homemade roti canai made by Tok Chu too. It was really nice to catch up with everyone after a while. After that, we headed back to our hotel to get some rest for the next day.

On day two, it was the wedding day (i.e. akad nikah/solemnisation ceremony)!

Since we were family of the bride aka Maksu Auni, we went to the venue a little early to set everything up before our guests from the groom's family arrived. The ceremony were kept small with it being attended by family members of the bride and groom only. The dais (or in malay we call it pelamin) was really, really beautiful!! It had flowers and colourful lights. Then, the groom's family members started to arrive along with the bride and groom. Then they started the akad nikah and all those things they do to get married followed by makan time!!! To be honest, I always love wedding dishes. It's really, REALLY delectable I must say, hehe. Anyway, we ate and took family pictures. Not gonna lie, it was a lovely day for the wedding. Here are some pictures from day 2.

We are ready!!!

Congratulations Maksu Auni and Uncle Ash!

After the wedding, we went back to our hotel to rest. We also went for a quick swim at the swimming pool.

That night, we ate dinner at Wan Jah's AirBnB again. We also helped with the plans and the goodies for the next day, which is the wedding reception. It was a relaxing day after the Nikah ceremony.

On our last day, it was finally the reception day!
Before we got ready for the reception, we went for our last dip in the pool.
We woke up early and went for a swim from 8 till 8:30 o'clock. Then we got ready for the reception.
We had a quick breakfast, packed our luggage to check out, then went down to the lobby.

ready!

Then we headed straight to the venue. The wedding started around 12 o'clock but we arrived a little early to take photos and eat before the guests arrived because some of us had duties for the day. Mommy and Dadda was the MC and I was tasked to hand out door-gifts.
Here are some pictures:

the whole family.

After the wedding, it's finally time to go home.

But before we headed back to Shah Alam, TokMama, Mommy and I helped Wan Jah with all the wedding presents and extra food from the wedding. We also stayed for a while to watch Maksu Auni and Uncle Ash opened their presents. It was a tiring day but also a magnificent experience. It was certainly an occasion to remember!

That's all for now guys. Thank you for reading. Stay tuned for more.

P.S: since it is almost the end of 2021, I will do some recap posts.
Make sure to stay tune for those okay? 😉

OUR LAST 5 DAYS TRIP AROUND THE UK!!! PART 1| DAY 1-3 #THROWBACKPOST

Hi there.

First of all, I’m really sorry that I haven't been updating because I was so busy with school since I just started going back.😭 Anyway, in this post, I'm going to tell you guys about our 5 day trip before we came back to Malaysia.

On our first day, we went to Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh. It was beautiful. We also did some activity that they provide for the kids. After that, we walked to the old Rosslyn Castle to take some pictures. It was just a 1 minute walk from the chapel but it was drizzling so it was a little slippery. We went back on the road in our rental car after. we made a short pit-stop at M&S Simply Foods for a toilet break. There is also Costa Coffee and other shops so we bought some drinks and snacks too then back on the road. It took us about 2 hours to arrive at Liverpool. When we arrived at our B&B, it was already dark so we settled in for the night, ate dinner and got a nice rest. Here are some pictures from Day 1.

I miss this Autumn feeling!!😭

For our second day, we went for a Liverpool stadium tour for Dadda's birthday. We got to take pictures, visit the museum and more. Dadda had fun since he is a big Liverpool fan. We also went inside the souvenir shop to buy some souvenirs to bring back home.

After that, we went back on the road to search for lunch. On the way, we kinda got lost but thankfully, we spotted McDonalds so we decided to stop there for lunch. Next, about 1 hour plus, we finally arrived at Manchester. We stayed at Travelodge and we visited Dadda's ex-schoolmate for dinner.

On our third day, we went to Old Trafford. Unfortunately, the stadium was closed so we went to the gift shop to buy some souvenirs to bring back to Malaysia.

the sky was very clear that day.

Then, we went to Market Street to buy some more souvenirs to bring back. There was definitely a lot of shopping in our trip.😂 We went to Primark, Hard Rock Cafe and more. After that, we went for lunch at a near Malaysian restaurant with one of Dadda's friend. It was a really nice day and we definitely walk a lot. Here are some pictures.

there is even a F.R.I.E.N.D.S corner in the Primark along with the cafe in the series.

That's it for now. Make sure to stay tuned for part 2 of the 5 trip. Bye.
