February 2010 happenings... continued...

Hi all!

Guess what? Yes, I did get to see some Lion Dance action on Chinese New Year weekend! Woohoo!
We saw it by chance when we stopped by at a mall in Subang (Subang Parade) to buy a birthday present for a neighbour...

So, I told you in my previous entry that everyone was on a long holiday weekend because of the Chinese New Year, right? Well, yea, they had Saturday, the 13th till Tuesday, the 16th off from work. So, I was hoping for a 'happening' weekend and I got it!

On Sunday the 14th, we attended a wedding with Tok Abah, Tok Mama, Pak Su, Mama and Ayah Ngah.

Right after that we had to attend a birthday celebration of a friend of mine, Akilah (well, she actually lives next door to Tok Abah's). On the way there, we stopped by at Subang Parade to get her presents. That was where all the action began. We happened to be right on time for the Lion Dance performance! It was soooo exciting! There were 4 lions; 2 red and yellow ones and 2 white and silver ones. They not only did the usual 'walking-on-posts' stunt but they also walked on 2 wires. It was sooo cool!

<a href="http://www.linkedtube.com/pBVm2l-7zpc7597f5a28ff5e224845e295e07b6ff82.htm">LinkedTube</a>

After buying the presents we went straight to Akilah's house. There, I ate A LOT! I already ate some rice previously at the wedding but somehow I managed to find more appetite to eat some more food at the party, hehehe... Anyway, Akilah looked sweet in her pretty dress and we played ball after eating.

The next day, Monday, we went all the way to Seremban to visit Atuk Ngah Man (although he prefers to be called 'Uncle Man' just like how Mommy and Dadda calls him...) who was down with Dengue and was hospitalised a week prior to our visit. However, he was discharged a day before the CNY so we went to his house instead.
From Seremban, we headed straight to Nek Wan's in Rembau. Of course, needless to say that everybody there were so happy to see me...

The day after that, we had a light breakfast and skipped lunch to have hi-tea with Uncle Nuar as it was his birthday the day before. First we ate at Dome, Subang Parade and after that we walked over to Swensen's to have dessert.

Boy, did I eat a lot that weekend...

Happy Birthday Uncle Nuor!!

The great thing about the CNY week was I only had to go to school for three days!
And then came Saturday, again.

Now, that Saturday, the 20th, we had another celebration. Mak Lel treated us to a lovely dinner at The Daily Grind, Bangsar, where I had Macaroni and Cheese and everyone else had something huge, except Tok Abah. Hehehe... You see, Tok Abah ordered something diferent than the usual steak and burgers. He thought he wanted to try something new.

When the food came, this is what he got...

It was hillarious! I mean, look at his expression! I guess he was disappointed at first but the food turned out to be good and filling too. So, in the end, everybody was happy!

Maammmmaaammm!!

Oh, and I had another 'happening' weekend too! On Saturday, prior to the dinner, I went shopping at Subang Parade with Mak Lel and Aunty Huda while Dadda played football with his colleagues and on Sunday, I went shopping again with them at Ikano and Bangsar, while Dadda was playing golf with Papa, Ayah Ngah and Ayah De, hehe... Owh, I forgot to mention that Nek Wan and Wan Dak was in Subang too.

So, are you jealous that I had a 'blasting' February? Hehe... very interesting weekends indeed...

February 2010 happenings...

Wow! A lot of things happened this month indeed, and it's only just the first half!
I don't even know where to start...

Hmm... let me see, first there was the premiere of our Garage Sale held at Kg Tunku, PJ house on the 6th and 7th. Everybody took part and sold old and new stuff. Mommy even managed to sell off some of my old clothes and a few of her old kebayas. Dadda managed to sell some of his stuff too.

I'm in charge of sorting the VCDs, just can't seem to get enuff of it!

Playing with the toys inside the box!

In fact, everybody else like Tia, Che Ah, Cu Na, Aunty Alma and even Ayah Ngah managed to sell something. All in all, we got quite a good response. From what I've heard, we're planning for another one in June.

Next there was Papa's birthday on the 6th which we celebrated the night after due to the Garage Sale. We had dinner at a restaurant called Pizza vs Satay. Of course, they don't just sell Pizza and Satay but other good fusion food as well...

Mammam time again!

On Tuesday, the 9th, we celebrated Mak Lel's birthday at Windmill restaurant in Subang Jaya. Her birthday was actually the day before but because of some 'Japanese strangers', we couldn't celebrate on that day itself! Anyway, we 'pulled' (pooled) money (well, at least Mommy, Aunty Huda, Aunty Ina and Pak Su did..) and bought Mak Lel a pair of white gold ear rings.

Happy Birthday Mak Lel...!

In front of WindMill..

On that night too, at around 9.40pm, Aunty Alma gave birth to an adorable baby girl.
Yes, I've got a new cousin now and her name is Adeena Zariya. She looks exactly like her elder brother, Abang Aimar. We went to visit them at the hospital on Wednesday after fetching Mommy for her office. Needless to say, I no longer am the 'baby' in the family....

Don't they look alike? :)

After visiting Aunty Alma and her new baby at the hospital
we went straight to see Che Ah at Cineleisure. She had a bowling tournament that night and we were there to support her. Aunty Huda came and joined us there too and we had dinner together. Che Ah got 3rd place in the tournament. Congrats Che Ah!

Che Ah with her team mates and their medals!

This weekend, Mommy, Dadda and everyone else will be on a long leave because of Chinese New Year. I don't know what their plans are but I'm really hoping that Mommy and Dadda will take me someplace where we can watch the Lion Dance! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Will keep you updated.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Smile...

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking

When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow

You'll see the sun come shining through you

Light up your face with gladness

Hide every trace of sadness

Although a tear may be ever so near

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile

If you just smile...

-Charlie Chaplin

'Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day.' ~ P.S. I Love You

'A smile is a curve that sets everything straight'. ~ Phyllis Diller

'Even a smile is charity' ~ Prophet Muhammad S.A.W

Mommy says that you feel better just by smiling and you'll make other people feel better just by smiling at them too.

It's true! I've tried it. Have you tried it?
'If you don't have a smile, I'll give you one of mine'

I hope you're smiling when you're reading this post! :)

Who Says You Can't Look Cool In A Car Seat?

Who ever said that car seats aren't cool? The car seat ain't the problem, people. It all depends on who's in it.

If your parents love you enough to get you a car seat specially for you, it doesn't mean that they're restricting your movements in the car. It just means that they're protecting you from getting hurt in case anything bad should happen. As for me, I was lucky enough to have mine sponsored... by Uncle Nuar, hehe...

Whether you look good or not when you're in it depends entirely on you. When you sit in the car seat, you gotta sit in it with ATTITUDE. Period.

Besides, there are a lot of things you can do in the car seat while your parents drive you around.
At least you're not stuck behind the wheels and not being able to do anything in the jam, right?

You can read...

<a href="http://www.linkedtube.com/GuCthNjv9UM0ba0baa3bddcaeb9b8d58c5551b2bbd5.htm">LinkedTube</a>

You can watch DVDs (and try to seek attention at the same time)...

You can even chill...

And don't forget to do all that... with STYLE! That's most important...

For all my car seat antics, check out the album below baby! Peace out.. :)

New Year, New School Uniform...

Happy 2010 everyone!!! My resolution for this year is try to sneak into my parents' room at night to sleep with them as often as I can! Yeay! Wish me luck...

Anyway, starting this year, I will be attending REAL classes in school (as in going into the classroom and seat and actually learn something...).
There will be a few subjects including religious and prayers too. Therefore, I need to be wearing proper uniforms when attending these classes. Check it out...

My new uniform -- too big for me?

Knowledge Enlivens The Soul, Milk Enlivens My Tummy!

My pants are green in colour and my top is in yellow! Yes, you definitely can spot us from far! At the back of my shirt is our school motto :
Knowledge Enlivens The Soul, which is really true, you know. That's why I'm being sent to school at such a very young age, apart from the fact that both Mommy and Dadda have to work and they actually feel more confident in sending me to school rather than hire a maid to take care of me at home. Besides, they said at least I get to learn something in school as opposed to just stay home and do nothing but eat and play.

<a href="http://www.linkedtube.com/mPT_zhdtWVwf6840db6da38f851921467257373abb0.htm">LinkedTube</a>
I learn to count at school too, but sometimes I'll be a bit cheeky and
leave out some of the numbers on purpose..

Personally, I think they just feel really insecure in leaving me alone at home with a stranger! They probably have this 'trust' issue with someone new to the family, hehe... hence, the excuses and so-called good reasons of theirs for sending me off to school!

I mean, I'm not complaining or anything like that. It's not like they're sending me off to a boarding school where they serve really bad food and I don't get to come back at the end of each day, right? But it's just so depressing having to wake up early in the morning, bathe and put on my uniform just to spend a day of learning, playing and eating with the rest of my friends... do you understand what I'm trying to say here?

But anyway, it's not really a big problem for me, though. Usually, I'll just put on a bit of a tantrum in the mornings and pretend to cry everytime one of my teachers come to fetch me from the car until they hand me a piece of biscuit or bread for breakfast.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I also have a head cover or hijab to be put on during my religious and prayer classes. Don't I look adorable in it?

No 1! School is good for me!

Too cute not to HUG!

PJ Family's 2009: 2nd Trip, Janda Baik

Yes, we just had our 2nd family trip with Dadda's family and this time we travelled to a place called Janda Baik (it means Good Divorcee).

This time around, it was only a day trip. We started early, around 7.30am and reached there at around 9am. As usual, I was a bit grumpy to wake up that early and I actually slept the whole trip. But once we arrived and I've warmed up, I was sooooo excited!

The place was so beautiful! It had a gazebo where we left our stuff and had our meals and there was a stream beside it. There were also animals like chickens, fish and even 2 lovely horses!

Auuummmcaakk! Having breakfast & goofing around!

We had breakfast once we arrived and after that, we started our games.

Let's start the 1st game already!!

The 1st game was Aunty Alma's guessing game which we won, the 2nd was Tia's blow and pop your balloon game which we also won! The 3rd game was a game by AyahDe called Zap, Zap Teng and Ayah Ngah won it while Mommy got 2nd place. After that it was our game. There were 2 teams and each teams had to divide themselves so that some had to guard their balloons while the others try to steal the opponents' balloons. It ended with a tie.

Counting the sweets for the 1st game!

Pouring the water in the bottle. Iky & Faiez..

After that, we played Ayah Ngah's game where Mommy had to carry a cup of water on her head and run across in flippers to give it to Dadda and he had to pour the water into a bottle. We didn't win that game. But we set the bar high where Auntie Alma & Uncle Farly could emulate & won the game!

Then Mama invented a game for all the kids, me included! Dadda had to fill up water in a cup and give it to me. I then will take the cup filled with water to Mommy and she will pour into a bottle. As usual, I was already tired by then and everybody knows that I don't quite like walking on grass and sand. So I did it reluctanly (crying all the way...) and protested by pouring the water on the ground in the middle of my run to Mommy! (hehe...)

Mommy's already wet.. I'm tired...

Everyone else still playing, while...

I'm having my early lunch... already exhausted! :)

The last game was Papa and Mama's. It was a traditional game called Stick Mata where one had to hit a stick so it goes up in the air and while it's up, hit it as far as they can. Dadda was on fire during this game and our team won again. Basically, we were the overall champion of the whole game! Hehe!

We are the CHAMPIONS!!

After all the games have been played, we stopped for lunch and Mommy, Dadda and the rest jumped into the stream. Dadda took me in at one point but I screamed because the water was SO cold and MOVING! (sooo unlike the swimming pool! sigh...)

With Papa at the really cold but nice river stream!

Dadda, I'm a CELEBRITY, GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!

After everyone had taken their shower and prayed, we took last snaps of photos and headed down back to each other's houses.

Are you talking to me?? (goofing around in the pick up truck!)

Look at the 2 lovely horsies!! Yup, I'm scared of them too!

Che Ah and Kak Miza came back with us so we stopped by at PJ to send them back. But Dadda was so tired and sleepy that he took a nap once we reached PJ. That night, we went out for dinner with the rest and finally went back to our place at around 10pm.

It was exhausting but truly a fun day for all of us!

What a day!! But it was AWESOME FUN!!

Check out all the pictures from Dadda's camera below;

Have a good Awal Muharram weekend everybody!

This Is It... My First Trip To The Cinema

This post is long overdue! Sorry!

Auww!! Yep... you read it right..! I had my first experience of being inside a cinema a couple of weeks ago watching none other than the much anticipated This Is It.

Going into the cinema! Woohoo!

Of course, the experience was very new to me so in the beginning I panicked because it was dark and the screen was huge! When MJ started singing it felt like he was right there, very near to us. The music and his voice came from everywhere around me. After awhile, I calmed down and watched it while I snuggled in Tok Mama's arms. Somehow, watching MJ sing and dance had somewhat a calming effect on me that I fell asleep right in the middle of it! I woke up later during the show and managed to catch the last half an hour of the show, hehehe...

Yeay!! I made it! My first movie!

When we came out, everyone said that I was very well-behaved and were surprised because I didn't cry or make any noise. I'm glad Mommy and Dadda were brave enough to let me experience it.

Like MJ said, 'It's all in the name of LOVE'... Check out the lovely trailer!
