Shoo, fly, don't bother me!

Shoo, fly, don't bother me!
I remember Mommy and Daddy running,
They were talking loudly, for it was so noisy,
I felt safe in Mommy's arms.
I thought I heard Mommy and Daddy laughing,
But instead they were screaming,
There were fireworks everywhere,
And with one loud thunder,
I fell asleep.

Shoo, fly, don't bother me!
You woke me up, I was in a deep sleep,
These people around me are still sleeping,
Where's Mommy, what happened to Daddy?
Wait, I think I see them sleeping not far from me.
Shall I wake them up?
How long have I slept?
Mommy! Daddy! Please come to me,
I can't move and I'm frightened.

Shoo, fly, don't bother me!
Please help me find my uncles, aunts and cousins,
They must be worried, looking all over for us,
It's getting dark and I'm all alone.
But somehow I'm not afraid now.
I see the place where I'm heading to,
Bright and beautiful, peaceful and serene,
There I see Mommy smiling at me,

Bathe me, dress me, let me go to sleep,
Please aunt, help lay me to rest,
I'm happy now, don't worry about me,
I'll be fine.

A poem for my unfortunate friends...

I swim with Mommy and Dadda on Mondays,
Bowling nights with my family are always on Tuesdays,
I hang out with Tok Mama and Tok Abah on Wednesdays,
Spend precious times with Mommy and Dadda on Thursdays,

Fridays are always 'free and easy',
Snuggle between Mommy and Dadda, getting cozy,
Weekends are spent with brothers and sisters of Dadda,
How about you, my fellow friends in Gaza?

Mondays, Tuesdays, everyday including Sundays,
You scream, cry and in fear, always?
Bombs, shootings, groanings and shouts
Are what you hear around you, so loud?

Where are your families, Daddas and Mommies?
They've been shot and killed by the armies?
So who's going to look after you now?
You have to be fed by someone, somehow.

Don't be sad, my fellow friends in Gaza,
Your Mommy and Dadda are in heaven with Allah.
I'm sure it's sad to have no one at all,
If it were me, I'd definitely bawl.

You don't understand what you did wrong,
To face the world, you now have to be strong.
My family and I will always pray for you,
To finally have a peaceful and happy life too.

My favourite pastime: Swimming

How many of you can swim? How often do you swim? My Mommy and Dadda can swim. I suppose they think that it's important for me to learn how to swim too.

They introduced me to the pool very early; as early as 3 months' old although most people think it's not advisable to take your babies to the pool before the age of 6 months. Nevertheless, Mommy saw how I really love water and thought that throwing me early into the pool might also make my body tougher. My first experience in the pool was at the Hyatt Hotel, Johor Bahru.

My 1st baby float, swimming with Mommy @ Hyatt JB!

Dadda joining in the fun and making sure I'm ok!

Now, I'm kind of a seasoned swimmer among babies my age. I say that because we go swimming every Monday night at Tok Abah's club in Subang Jaya. We started swimming weekly since I turned 6 months. I'm not afraid of the water at all, unlike some babies my age.

Mama Lyana, PapaAdam, Dadda & me at the club's swimming pool!

A couple of weeks ago, Mommy bought me a special float called 'Mambobaby'. It's special because I use it around my neck so my whole body goes under water while swimming. This keeps my upper body from being cold when exposed to the air when only my legs are in the water if I use the normal float. Once our body gets cold, that's when we catch the flu.

Even Tok Abah & Tok Mama is impressed at my swimming skills and love for water!

So, I strongly recommend the 'Mambobaby' to all babies under 2 years' old. Besides keeping your whole body under water, you will also learn to swim faster because your hands and legs will be free to move around, like treading water, I mean. As a result, our hands and legs will be stronger too.

My first taste of the new MamboBaby float Mommy bought me.
Check me out, I'm really swimming baby!

Look Mommy, I'm swimming!

Besides the pool, I've also been to the sea. I don't quite like the sand but I loved the sea! I get excited everytime I see the wave coming towards me! I enjoyed standing on the beach when the waves broke and water came rushing towards my tiny feet. Mommy held me while I enjoyed the warm sea.

At the moment, I know that swimming is my favourite pastime. What about you? Care to go for a swim?

Till next time,

Ciao!

A trip to remember @ SummerSet part 2

Hi again!

Ok, today is the 1st January 2009 and that means it's New Year!!
So, I'm here to wish all readers of my blog a very happy and prosperous 2009!

Now, let's get back to my family trip story....
(some pictures are still pending from Uncle Zul's camera!)

The morning after, while everyone elsewhere were probably queueing up at shopping complexes for Boxing Day Sale, we played our games. There were 6 games altogether. The 1st game played were Ayah De's and Che' De's game. There were 3 teams playing and Mommy and Dadda weren't in the same team so you can imagine them bantering each other!

Team RED ready to rumble!!

Next we played Tia's game which was a Treasure Hunt. Mommy and Dadda didn't win this game because they couldn't find 2 items on the list; plus, they got tricked by Kak Miza, hehehe... We then moved on to the Trio's (Ayah Ngah, Che'Ah and Cu Na) game. Mommy got blindfolded and Dadda had to guide her to walk towards him by calling out a secret name. They won this game, obviously, knowing how loud my Dadda's voice is!

For lunch, we drove to Kuala Rompin to find a good place to eat. It was a very sunny day and all the stalls didn't look condusive for babies like me and Kak Sara so we finally decided to just go to KFC. Hahaha!! Imagine going all the way to Kuala Rompin from Kuala Lumpur and ended up at KFC! Anyway, it turned out to be a good meal and very comfortable for everyone.

Check me out with Dadda's glasses!

At around 5pm, we began to play the last 3 games and had started off with Papa and Mama's game. Everyone had to throw a ball at a frisbee which contained 10 plastic balls. Both Mommy and Dadda didn't hit the frisbee at all, hahaha!!!

I could hit all the balls better than Dadda & Mommy!

After that game, they proceeded to play Aunty Alma's game. Each team had to creatively write the word Summerset on the sand. Mommy and Dadda won that game too.

Can you believe this design made them won Auntie Alma's game??

Finally, we headed to the pool to play the last game by Mommy and Dadda. Ayah Ngah and Tia won that game which they had to push a balloon each by nose or forehead to the other side of the pool and come back swimming using only half of their body.

Pool time everybody! Ayah Ngah's very impressed with my swimming skills!

Later that night, we had dinner and prize presentation in Papa and Mama's room. We stayed to play a few more indoor games for fun and then retired around midnight.

All the prizes that we won as a family!

We had a short and late breakfast the next morning because Dadda wanted to rest a bit before driving back to KL. After breakfast, Mommy and Dadda took me for a walk on the beach for the last time. Oh, did I mention that I first set foot on the beach sand the day we played the games? I don't think I quite like the sand but the sea... oh yes, I loved the sea! Mommy held my hands while we stood near the water and when the waves broke and the water came to my feet I was excited. I wanted to sit on the sand while the water move towards me but Mommy thought it was dangerous to let me do that by myself.

Mommy, please bring me to the ocean!

Anyway, on the way back we stopped by at the Rest & Relax near Gambang to have lunch.

At the rest area with Che' Nah, PJ family official caretaker for a long time!

After a while driving, Mommy and Dadda heard a sound from under the car and pulled aside. Alas, it was a burst tyre so Dadda called Ayah Ngah, Uncle Farlie and Ayah De and they stopped to help. There were some complications during the tyre change that it took them around 2 hours to complete everything with the help of some highway patrol men.

Thank God, we're all OK!

Poor Dadda, out in the rain changing our flat tyres!

We arrived in Subang at around 7.45pm. Mommy gave me my bath and got me ready as quickly as possible. I was to join Tok Abah and Tok Mama in attending Kak Alyssa's birthday party in Bukit Chedang, Seremban. Mommy and Dadda, on the other hand didn't follow us because Dadda was so, so tired and moody.

Originally, while I joined Tok Abah and Tok Mama at Kak Alyssa's birthday barbecue party, they were supposed to attend a wedding in KL. But due to unforeseen circumstances (like the burst tyre), they couldn't make it. They just went to have dinner with the PJ family and came back to watch TV.

Wasn't I tired I hear you ask? Yes, quite. But it was Kak Alyssa's 1st birthday and I know I was expected to be there by lots of people. They are always eager to see me and everybody wants to carry me around although they know I wouldn't want to be held by anyone except Tok Mama and Tok Abah. And yet they still try...

When we reached Seremban I was so tired and I had put up a sulky face for everyone. Only after Tok Mama fed me with some mashed potato that I became a bit cheerful and wanted to smile to people. Even Kak Alyssa was tired and had a short nap before being woken up to cut cake. She too didn't really have a smile on her face. If Kak Alyssa is reading, I just want to tell her that you don't have to feel guilty for being moody that night. We're babies! We're allowed to do that and we're expected to too.

We finally arrived back in Subang close to midnight and I slept like a log! I'm sure Mommy and Dadda too slept very soundly that night.

Well, that was how I spent my Christmas holidays. Very well packed with activities! Can't wait to see all the photos from everybody's camera...

Cheerios!

Have a great New Year weekend everybody!

A trip to remember @ SummerSet part 1

Hi there,

How's everyone's Christmas/Awal Muharram break? Did you guys have fun? Well, I sure did and here, I will share all about it..
(Warning: it's a long post!)

I just got back from a Family Trip with Mommy, Dadda and Dadda's family (otherwise known as the PJ or Kg Tunku Family).

I'm all excited to go for our family trip!

On Christmas Day, we drove to Rompin, Pahang, to a resort hotel called Summerset. It was a nice and cosy, colonial-looking hotel by the beach. It took us about 4 to 5 hours to reach there by car. We started at around 11-ish in the morning and arrived in Rompin at around 4pm (plus a few stops at the Rest & Relax).

There were 5 cars travelling together; our car which consisted of Myself, Mommy and Dadda, Papa and Mama's with Bibik Tatik and Kak Minah, Ayah Ngah's with Cu Na and Che Ah, Uncle Farlie's with Aunty Alma and Abg Aimar and last but not least, Ayahde's with Che' De and Kak Nadhrah. Tia, Uncle Mohsin, Abg Ikie, Kak Miza, Abg Faiez, Kak Sara and their Bibik joined us there.

Sooo cosy that I slept all through the journey!

Are we there yet Mommy?!

Upon reaching, we had to straight away get ready for a photo shoot session, courtesy of Aunty Alma. Everybody had to wear white so I changed into a white cotton dress which Mommy bought specially. When we were ready we hurried off to Mama's and Papa's room which was on the same floor but further to the front. We took quite a number of photos in the room and after that we went straight to the beach and continued taking photos.

Look at me all dressed up in white? Cute or what!!?

You see, although I didn't drive and slept almost all the way there (I had started using the car seat Uncle Nuar bought a couple of months ago and it was SO comfy!) I still felt a bit tired after taking photos in the room. I also began to feel sleepy again. So, I had put up a bit of a tantrum after the beach photo-taking session. Needless to say, photos of me are mostly, unfortunately with my grumpy face on!

The many expressions of us as a family.. The middle one is my favourite! :)

Some beach photos of us! Higher Dadda, Higher!!

After hours of photo shootings, we finally went out for dinner (I was already asleep by then) at a nearby stall.

All those photo takings took its toll on me!

That night the adults did solat jemaah and recited the Yassin in Papa and Mama's room. After that, we discussed about the games that were to be held the next day, after breakfast. We just talked and didn't really have any activities for we were all still tired from the journey.

Next up : Games! Games! Games!

Stay tuned..
